CORPORATE STRUCTURE
VISION
RACE has a Vision – to be a vibrant, growing business To achieve their vision the Board has developed a detailed Strategic and Operational Plan around five key goals: 1. RACING – to make Racing at Awapuni and Trentham more rewarding 2. BUSINESS – to identify and invest in new business opportunities 3. FINANCIALS – to increase revenues by adopting a more businesslike focus 4. OPERATIONS – to lead the industry 5. STAKEHOLDERS – to deliver a better service for all stakeholders Background: In developing these new initiatives the RACE Board was also keen to – • Maintain the integrity, independence and identity of the five Racing Clubs and their relationship with their local communities • Provide the Clubs with an improved level of management expertise and strategic planning • Reduce operating costs and duplication of resources • Expand new business opportunities • Strengthen Racing at Awapuni and in the central region • Increase returns to industry stakeholders
RACE Board
The RACE Board has equal representation from the five Partnership Clubs. There are two nominated directors from each Club. The Board elects the Chairman annually. The 2006/2007 RACE Board is -
