½ Sister to Magic Millions Colt in the Winners Circle
Alberghetti (NZ) (Carnegie – Wusool by Gulch), a half sister to Lot Tauranga that Haunui will be offering at the Magic Millions Sale in January made a return to the winners circle at Randwick last week. Owned by Darley Australia, Alberghetti finished 3rd in the Group Three Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m) as a three-year-old and from four starts in this campaign, she has added this win and another second placing to her tally.
Haunui Farm will offer a Pins half brother to Alberghetti at the Gold Coast next month and with the success that Pins’ progeny have been having this season both in New Zealand and Australia, the colt will attract his fair share of attention.
Wusool (USA) (Gulch) is a daughter of Champion Racemare Petrava (NZ) (Imposing) - a five time Group One-winner in South Africa - and a half sister to Hoeberg (NZ) (Maroof) who was also a Champion filly in South Africa.
Impressive Last to First Win by Midnight Prince
Midnight Prince (NZ) (Carnegie) made it two-in-a-row last week with an impressive last to first finish at the Bay of Plenty Racing Club’s meeting at Tauranga on Wednesday. Out of Midnight Babe (NZ) (Kaapstad) a full sister to Midnight Madam, Midnight Prince is a full brother in blood to dual Group One-winner Perlin (NZ) (Carnegie).
Haunui Farm will offer a half brother to Perlin at Karaka 2007, Lot 274, a colt by Van Nistelrooy (USA) (Storm Cat).
