Who we are. Kilgravin Farms

Kilgravin Lodge was created in 2002 and is owned by Eion Kemp. This move was the culmination of experience gained working within the industry. This included several years of managing the breaking in and pre-training for Eric Watson’s Watson Bloodstock - Westbury stud.

Kilgravin Lodge is situated in the hub of the thoroughbred industry. Located a few kilometres south east of Matamata. With our agistment division Kilgravin Farms we have a total of 75 acres at our disposal.

Eion has developed a method of breaking in which blends the best of old and new methods to produce a professional racehorse.

Graduating with a high distinction in Horse Business Management from Marcus Oldham College in Australia and a Bachelor of Science degree from Massey University further supports the sound practical knowledge that Eion employs when breaking in and pre-training young horses.
