Regular user of the Manawatu Water Treadmill EILEEN DUBH pulled off a very gutsy win in the Group 1 Levin Classic (27th November 2009). The Francis Finnegan trained Storm Creek filly returned to racing with a bang after being upset in the gates in the Thousand Guineas two weeks prior and finishing behind midfield. Francis utilised the Water Treadmill facilities in Eileen's recovery from the trip south, in her lead up to the Levin Classic in conjunction with her normal raceday preparation.
Eileen also pretrains on the Manawatu Water Treamill aswell as being a frequent user during her race day prep.

| Unfortunately at the beginning of 2005 due to a tumour like growth in Chinese Gold’s nasal passage that kept reoccurring, he was put down. He served a small book of mares in his last season but judging by the weanlings on the ground the winners will still keep coming and keep their Dad’s runners to winners ratio at a good percentage. |

Mangatiti Bloodstock has negotiated the purchase of three broodmares suitable to visit resident stallion Chinese Gold this year.
These mares are Kiwi Summer and Amour and Tinks.
Kiwi Summer was Desert Sun's first winner. She showed early speed and won on debut as a two-year-old in grand style.
A small but very muscular mare, Kiwi Summer will be well suited to Chinese Gold who is renowned for his record with mares of such stature. In fact Chinese Gold's stakes performers have been with mares ranging in height from 14.3 to 15.1 hands high. Now in foal to Chinese Gold.
Amour is by Deputy Governor and is in foal to Lord Ballina. She was a race winner and is out of the stakes-placed mare, Diamond Bright.
This is the same family as Group One Easter Handicap winner Magic Winner. Amour is also a small muscular type of mare.
Tinks is by McGinty, winner of 5 races and could have been a stakes winner with some luck in the running on some occasions. Now in foal to Chinese Gold. |
