Next Racemeeting to be held at Te Awamutu will be held on Tuesday 29th November 2009 which is the Cambridge/Te Awamutu Harness Racing Club trotting on the grass.

TRIAL AND JUMP OUT DATES COMING UP

Waipa Racing Club holds the second biggest Trial Days in the country, averaging 175 horses and up to 30 heats.

We hold 8 Trial Days a year, confirmed dates for the next three months include;

Don't forget we hold jumpouts twice a month on Fridays, start time 7.30am. Outside trainers very welcome, ring the office to put your names down, make sure this is completed by Thursday at 4 pm. Next Jump out day will be Thursday 26th November and Friday 11th December.

MEMBERSHIP

The Waipa Racing Club is extremely appreciative of the support we receive from our members and currently have a membership of 320, including 35 Honorary and 7 Life Members.

We welcome new members and for $25 per year you will receive badges, newsletters, posters and invitations to all racing functions including the AGM which was held in October,(food and refreshments are provided)

Our next function -

All Members are invited to the '2009 Annual Racing Awards' to be held in October, tickets are $30 single, this includes meal and entertainment,'cheap and chirpy prices' for refreshments. We also hold a Member's Bowl Tournament at the Kihikihi Bowling Club and a Annual Golf Tournament in conjuction with the Alexandra Racing Club, this tournament is held at the Pirongia Gold Club. Both great day's of entertainment.
We also hold a Fillies Night in June and Melborne Cup Function on the last weekend prior to the Melbourne Cup, 2010 will see the 150th running of the Cup.

Christmas At The Races Function

Book your Christmas Business Function, small or large groups. Rooms to be are 'Alexandra Room', JF Grylls Room, Skyline Room (3 divisions in this room at the very top level of the grandstand). Sponsors Room, be in the Supporters Classic Marquee Function, FLAIR Marquee, Mini Marquees on course. Always held in Mid November.
