Rob Burnet has a life long interest in racing and the media, which some 30 years ago was further developed into an intense interest in breeding thoroughbreds.

Rob's business Thoroughbred Investor Ltd, established, owns, and directs the widely respected world-wide internet based daily thoroughbred news service, www.thoroughbrednews.com.au.

ThoroughbredNEWS, also published on the doman thoroughbrednews.co.nz and thoroughbrednews.net.au, is a world media brand name publishing daily news of Australian, New Zealand, and international racing on the internet.

Rob's awards in the Australian racing media include the 2002 Melbourne Racing Club Internet section winner, Spring Media Awards, 2003 Melbourne Racing Club, Outstanding Merit Award internet section, Spring Media Awards, 2005 AAMI Clyde Kennedy Award, Sydney Turf Club Golden Slipper Award, 2005, AAMI Victoria Derby National Media Award, Website Section.

This involvement with breeding and racing has allowed Rob to be intimately associated with all levels of the thoroughbred industry; from breeding to racing horses, to being a leading member of the throughbred media on a daily basis, to consulting to the industry on strategic issues such as the direction of 'new media'.

Thoroughbred Investor Ltd also enables Rob to use his extensive industry contacts and experience to introduce and guide new investment into the thoroughbred industry. Rob works with clients, offering sound, sensible advice on their discretionary investment.

Rob, based in Sydney, is a member of the Victoria Racing Club, Flemington, a long standing member of the New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders Association, as well as being accredited to the Victorian Racing Media Association and the metropolitan racing clubs in Sydney.
