Specialising in Bordeaux style wines, Onetangi Road offers a relaxing environment where visitors can experience the journey of Vine to Wine. The vineyard is located on a 10 acre block in the heart of the best vine growing area on Waiheke ¨C the Onetangi Valley. There is currently 6.5 acres planted, predominately in Merlot, followed by Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec.

Our small size allows us to focus on the vineyard; our aim is to provide the best environment for producing fruit of exceptional quality, which we believe is the first step towards producing an exceptional wine.

Early releases like the 1998 Merlot and the 2000 Bordeaux Reserve have already found acclaim with many writers both of which rated four stars with Cuisine magazine and the 1999 Reserve picking up a medal at the Royal Easter show. Onetangi Road Rose¡¯ has been a sell out for the last 5 years before the end of summer, available only at our tasting room.

Something unique about Onetangi Road Vineyard is it offers the true 'Grain and Grape' with the Waiheke Island Brewery located on the vineyard producing most of the beer for the Island under its 'Baroona' brand.
