Fenton Estate
Fenton Twin Bays Vineyard is perched on a north facing coastline property that spans two small bays separated by a peninsula upon which is the attractive holiday home of Barry and Meg Fenton.
The 1989 vineyard is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc which produces the flagship wine 'Fenton'.
The 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 vintages are made by John Hancock at Trinity Hill to a more austere Bordeaux style.
Fenton has enjoyed considerable success since its first vintage in 1993. Apart from a 5 star Cuisine Award, it has won silver and gold medals and a trophy through subsequent years.
This small vineyard was expanded to over seven acres in 1999 with the addition of Melbec and Petit Verdot to the plantings of the original Bordeaux blend. Subsequent Fenton vintages will be wines to watch. |
