 Paul inspects approximately 1500 yearlings each year prior to the yearling sales series throughout Australasia.
Paul's purchases each year are for Wexford Stables's clients and he had considerable success with each years intake of yearlings. These horses have proven to be winners on the race tracks of New Zealand and Australia, as well as being sold from the stable for further race track success in Asian markets such as Hong Kong
 Similar in style to the Newmarket training centre in England, the Wexford Heath is a gently rolling 2000 metre straight track designed by Paul and runs along the boundary of the Wexford Stable's property.
Ideal for young horses as without having to take corners during trackwork at pace it allows bone density to develop without the onset of shin splints. The heath also provides a good galloping service to ready the older horses for their raceday engagements.
Wexford stables is serviced daily by top farrier Malcolm Telfer. Malcolm has won a number of titles at the annual New Zealand Farriery show and has the services of one of the country's leading apprentices in his son Beau.
 Renowned Matamata veterinary practice Marks, Ewen and Associates provide a complete and professional service to Wexford Stables.
Firm partner Dan Shaw (BVSc Hons) is a regular attendee at trackwork sessions and lives within 5 minutes of the stables.
The Matamata stable consist of 32 paddocks, all of which contain shade during the heat of the day. The paddocks are all well fenced and can accommodate from 1 to 4 horses safely.
Rooved stabling for up to 64 horses is also available.
An on site sand surfaced lunging ring 10 metres in diameter is available for horses that are restricted to light duties.
 Both the Matamata and Randwick training centres provide a top line Equine swimming pool.
Wexford Stable clients have access to the breaking and pretraining services offered by Hinuera Lodge.
Hinuera Lodge is owned by reknown veteranarian Jim Marks and the work is carried out by prominent New Zealand jumps rider Wayne Hillis, his wife Vanessa and a team of selected staff.
A recently constructed well designed loading ramp. The loading bay provides a safe and easy way of loading and unloading horses onto transporters.
