Barbara
" I have been practicing yoga for 18 years and teaching for 16 years.
I found yoga when my children were small. It was like sinking into a warm bath - relaxing, nurturing, rejuvenating.
With a background as a professional dancer I gravitated towards the dynamic and flowing style of Astanga yoga for many years and later found myself moving back to the detail and precision of Iyengar yoga. Enjoying it’s strength and attention to alignment.
My teaching philosophy...
I have found through years of teaching that each person comes to yoga for very different reasons, expectations, different personalities, body types, injuries and strengths. I enjoy the flexibility that yoga can bring, with such a variation of styles and teaching methods. I respect those differences and the qualities each individual brings to a class. As I teach I continue to learn from the people I meet. Thank you!
